About WageCrunch

Clear numbers for working people.

WageCrunch exists for a simple reason: most people do not know exactly what they earn. Hourly workers budget from paycheck guesses. Salaried workers accept offers without knowing the real hourly rate. Overtime gets worked without anyone doing the math on what it is worth.

We build focused, fast calculators that answer those questions in seconds — with every formula and assumption shown in plain English, so you can trust the number instead of just accepting it.

Our approach

  • Standard conventions. We use the same formulas payroll professionals use, such as the 2,080-hour work year (40 hours × 52 weeks).
  • Transparency first. Every calculator page explains its math. If a figure is an estimate or a floor (like overtime based on base rate), we say so.
  • Privacy by default. Calculations run entirely in your browser. We never see, store, or sell your numbers.
  • No gatekeeping. Every tool is free, with no account required.

What is coming

We are building take-home pay estimators for all 50 states, paycheck-withholding explainers, and tools for comparing job offers side by side.
